Shelby moved from New Mexico to Colorado Springs in 2015 and has since completed a degree in Zoo Keeping Technology from Pikes Peak Community College. She started as an intern with Nature’s Educators in January 2023, and moved into a staff position after a couple months. Shelby has always had a passion for working with animals and enjoys sharing the amazing ambassadors at Nature’s Educators with others. When not at programs, she spends most of her time operating the restaurant she owns in Colorado Springs. Any remaining free time is spent outside kayaking, hiking, spoiling her two dogs, and traveling.
