We have opportunities in Sedalia, CO and Florence, CO focused on all aspects of wildlife care, educational outreach, and wildlife rehabilitation

Our goal is to make volunteering a fun learning experience focused on all aspects of wildlife care, educational outreach, or wildlife rehabilitation. You will work alongside staff and be responsible for cleaning and general care of the wildlife on site. Depending on which route you take, specific duties include food preparation for rehab patients, hand-feeding baby wildlife, cleaning cages, maintaining a clean environment, refreshing food and water in enclosures, helping with programming, and other duties as specified by staff. Please keep in mind, we take our volunteers seriously. If you cannot commit the time and take us seriously in return, please wait until you can.

  • Education

    (Sedalia or Florence, CO)

    For volunteers wanting to learn how to handle educational ambassadors and do outreach programming. You will still be required to do all aspects of animal care including cleaning enclosures, feeding, offering enrichment, and various maintenance tasks.

    For volunteers wanting to learn to care for our wildlife patients. You will be cleaning, feeding, and helping trained staff with examinations and veterinary appointments.

    (Florence, CO)

    For volunteers wanting to learn to staff shifts at our public Nature Center. You will interact with visitors, operate the gift shop, and learn to care for all animals on display and off-display.
