Archie and Giggy
the Giant African Millipedes

Unknown Age
Archispirostreptus gigas
Captive Bred
Came to Nature's Educators from a breeder
The giant African millipede is an arthropod and can be found in the low land parts of East Africa in forested areas. It can grow as large as 15 inches long and 2.5 inches in circumference. Although they are called millipede (million legs) they generally have about 256 legs. They eat detritus and dead vegetation and are a portion of the janitorial side of the ecosystem as a "clean up crew".
